Obstetrical Care: Financial Responsibility Agreement
Thank you for choosing County Obstetrics and Gynecology for your prenatal care. It is our privilege to care for you during this special time.
Your obstetrical care includes routine prenatal visits, delivery (vaginal or cesarean), and postpartum care.
In some cases, additional services may be needed—such as:
- Additional ultrasounds
- High-risk pregnancy monitoring
- Hospital Admissions prior to delivery
- Procedures unrelated to your pregnancy
If these services are necessary, they will be billed separately based on your insurance coverage, and we will discuss them with you so there are no surprises.
We know that health insurance can sometimes be confusing, and our goal is to make the process as clear as possible for you.
As part of your care, our office will verify your maternity coverage and global obstetric benefits.
Our billing team will prepare a personalized estimate based on the benefits information we receive from your insurance company.
We will then review your insurance details, including your:
- Individual Deductible
- Family Deductible
- Co-Insurance
- Co-Payments
This helps us provide you with a clear understanding of your anticipated financial responsibility and work together to create a payment plan that is simple and manageable.
By collecting your full estimated responsibility in advance, we can help prevent unexpected bills later and allow you to focus fully on your care.
Payments are expected to be completed by your 20th week of pregnancy.
Why We Collect Your Deductible Early
Like many practices across the country, our policy is to collect this portion of your responsibility by your 20th week of pregnancy. Many maternity and surgical services apply toward your deductible.
Collecting your estimated deductible or co-insurance early helps prevent surprise bills later and ensures that financial matters are settled well before delivery, allowing us to focus entirely on your care throughout the remainder of your pregnancy.
