With the normal hormonal changes, the collagen in the tissue becomes thinner and looser and new collagen is not being produced at the same rate as when you are younger. This leads to a net loss in the collagen leading to decrease support and thickness of the vaginal and surrounding tissues. In addition, decrease in hormones with menopause causes more dryness in the tissue creating pain and/or discomfort with intercourse.

FemiLift is successful for nearly 90% of women affected by hormone-induced vaginal dryness and sexual pain, and it’s an excellent solution for younger women, cancer patients, and other women who can’t safely receive HRT.
The FemiLift Fractional Co2 Laser is ideal for the post-menopausal woman. The treatment promotes collagen production and remodeling in the vagina which in turn results in a return of the rugae, or architecture, that is lost with menopause. Women report improved lubrication and a decrease in pain associated with penetration. There is a return of a more youthful vagina.
CO2 lasers have been in use for over 35 years.
Fractionating prism breaks the laser beam up into microbeams that are evenly distributed over the tissue surface. This new approach reduces recovery time very short as compared with older CO2 resurfacing laser treatments.
It uses an FDA-approved Alma Co2 laser with a rotating probe inserted into the vagina. The laser delivers targeted heat energy to revitalize the vaginal mucosa. The heat energy causes the vaginal wall to contract and tighten. It also stimulates collagen production, which lubricates the vaginal wall and reduces dryness.
Our physicians have received extensive training and certification in the use of FemiLift. At your consultation, we will review your symptoms and perform an examination to determine your best treatment options. Once we confirm that you are a FemiLift candidate, you may then begin your series of treatments.
The rejuvenation procedure is performed in an outpatient office setting with minimal pharmacological preparation, anesthetic or post treatment medications.
The FemiLift laser devices deliver a series of two (2) CO2 rejuvenating laser treatments, each lasting no more than five minutes.
We think that about 90% will have a good response to 2-3 treatments.
Immediate results with no recovery or downtime. There will be two treatments at each appointment. Each treatment takes less than 5 minutes.
We now estimate the effectiveness of the treatment to be 24 months or more. When treatment wears off, the vaginal area will go back to how it was originally prior to treatment. The treatment can be repeated several times without any problems.
During the pulse of the LASER, you will feel a quick stinging sensation lasting less than a second. This becomes more intense closer to the entrance to the vagina. You will be prescribed lidocaine cream to minimize these sensations.
There is no pain after the treatment is completed.
The procedure has a quick recovery time, and you’ll experience its effects right away. After the procedure, you can return to your daily activities almost immediately.
However, sexual intercourse should be avoided for 5 days
You will be asked to abstain from penetrative intercourse for 5 days.
FemiLift is effective for two years. If you are planning pregnancy within two years or less, we suggest that you wait until after the birth.
The laser probe is inserted fully into the vagina up to the cervix, about 6-8 cm deep. The laser light beam travels about .05 mm (usually about 200 micron) into the vaginal skin, not very deep but deep enough to reach the level of the skin where the new collagen is formed.
Most exercises can be continued, but strenuous exercises should be avoided for 3 days.
The full package price is $2,500 for the series of 3 treatments. This includes one additional touch up treatment if needed.
Individual treatments may also be purchased for $1,000 each.
Touch-up treatments with original probe is $750 each.
